The Tanzanian tax authorities charge a higher amount of tax if a vehicle is over 10 years old, and hence it is not reccommended to ship car over 10 years old. With reference to pre-inspection prior to shipping, currently there is a company called Serengeti which carries out the inspection however not all shippers are carrying this out
